Reflash doubts
Reflash doubts
Hi every one.
I have an EVO 9 wich i want to "uptimize" with a reflash. I was wondering how it works, how do I do it and how do I get the data (do I change it myself or do I have to buy it). I alredy downloded the openecu 1.3 program and in the process of bying a tactrix cable (don't know if 1.3u or 1.3m).
The mods in the car are: heder, turbo outlet, 3" downpipe, 3 1/2" exhaust with dynomax muffler(no cat). also a Walbro 342 fuel pump and a 1000cfm yonaka intercooler. I will also change the clutch soon.
Any ifo will be apreciated since I have never done this. The cost of a reflash in my area is around $600.00.

Read the section on ECUflash here. What the best option for you to do is mail in a flash from Jestr Tuning.
Since you are getting all the cables, you just read your own factory ECU image. Mail this one in to John at Jester along with all your mods. Then you get it back, flash the image back in.. and have fun.
Download a logging program and get a log of your car, send it back to John to look at it to make any further adjustments.. and you're done.
Cost is $152 USD? Well worth it!!
