Considering getting rid of EVO

Considering selling the EVO and using the cash to get a Twin Turbo setup for my GTO and a few other things...

What do you guys think? Keep the EVO and sell the goat and just upgrade my turbos...?

Too much to money to mod them both. But one needs to be insane!

Depends on what you want. Drag racing or track? The EVO for the track, but the GTO is a much better drag car.

Have you tried a high horsepower rear wheel drive car? especially domestic...I am talking 600+whp..its hard to control their behavior and you pay a high price for an extra blink of an eye...I am not saying it wont be fun...on the contrary...it will be...its just wont be as well mannered as the Evo with alot of horsepower....Turbo+AWD is more forgiving at the limit...Plus you will HAVE to have slicks whenever you are racing...forget about street tires if you want to use a turbo + LS1 or LS2...with the Evos you can race on street tires no problem.....well.. unless your making insane horsepower that makes it purely a drag car.

I just like to race with the same street set up that I use for everyday driving...Just my opinion...good luck with any choice...either way it will be fun as I said.

+1.

The RWD will be fun on the strip if you are a good driver; and fun in.... dry weather. VS AWD handling...

Well, in that case the choice is easy. The Evo can be a demon...but it will never be a sleeper!

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Holden Monaro...sorry, I meant Pontic GTO Throw on a Magnuson intercooled S.C. and some slicks and call it a day.

Was thinking of the maggie but the TT gains are almost dbl the S/C. I love postive displacement but if im gunna be around 600-700 rwhp with the TT, the fraction of lag aint gunna make a difference.

i had a 04 Ls1 gto before my evo...i had that car for 4 weeks and got rid of it for ANOTHER evo...it had a pretty ok interior for a american car (people say its bmw quality...then again i dont like bmw interiors). The seats are absolutely terrible. the switches on that car annoyed me so much. The car overall is a very nice sturdy car though. I still love goats, but i wouldnt buy 1 again. I like the look of it too, esp the 6.0's
