White Rabbit turbo (WR-9)
MRevo2006 first off you can calm down just to let you know I already have the supporting mods. I have a TBE, MBC, FMIC, Intake with upper and lower intercooler pipes, BOV, 272 cams, Jestr flash, and a 255lph. The only thing I dont have is injectors and the head studs which I have just not installed. So before you jump your guys like your in some western movie how about you ask before you get all excited.....just a thought
I love when people say they dont care what someone gets if you dont care they why comment in the first place. Their had to be something in you that cared or something or you would have not said anything at all. However, I did not start this thread to run into people like MRevo2006 so as far as im concered that converstation with him is over. Moving on, I have decided to sell the EMS and pocket the profit I will get from it so Ill be posting it on here shortly.
It's obvious that you misunderstood the tone of my post, take as you want. Honestly, I really DON'T care what you do to the car--I was just offering a bit of advice so that you don't spend money where you didn't need to. What you ACTUALLY do with the car is beyond me or my worry. Have fun Mr Sensitive.

Im surely not Mr. Sensitive and once again im stuck laughing my butt off because you still posted on the thread again. For someone not to care about something they sure do take the time to see if I responded to them. Last time I checked if someone did not care they just leave it alone but no not you I guess you handle your feelings of care differently...........Now I will wait for you to respnded back but wait you dont care right.
I dont think its too small, I think the real deal is that its obsolete compared to the FP GREEN. The Green is an improvement upon the WR. Going with a WR would be sort of like going backwards.
Ok guys Im getting confused here should I or should I not? I have the 03 turbo with the 9.8 hotside. I know that I would see a pretty good gain with the WR-9 and I cant beat the price that Im getting it for. ........whats a man to do? (lol)
How good a price are you getting on the WR-9 anyway? You could always get it and then down the road upgrade to Green specs by just having FP swap the TiAl turbine for the L.T. wheel and mill the housing, since the only difference is the exhaust side.
Having said that.... I agree with the above people that the Green is better in most conceivable applications due to reduced backpressure. But, if you already had a WR-9 it wouldn´t be a worthwhile move to change to the Green.
From my personal perspective, if a brand new Green is gonna cost you $1700, then a used WR-9 might be worth considering for $900 or less, if it was in perfect condition. That would be a deal that I would consider.
The WR-9 should be just about as good on pump gas and will spoolup quicker due to the titanium-aluminide turbine wheel. It is essentially a BR 20G-9-5 with a TiAl turbine. It has the same exact compressor wheel(FP 20G-5) as the Green, the same compressor housing and the same 10.5 turbine housing.
The superiority of the Green lies in the higher inertia, lower backpressure turbine wheel, which due to its increased mass does spool slower than the TiAl turbine wheel of the WR-9.

Thanks for the clarification. FWIW, I for one, am totally impressed at your accomplishment on the stock turbo! Kudos! Spooky trap speed and great driving!
