Temperature Sensor?? where is it??

Hey, after my clutch install yesterday, i just noticed today that my temperature in the gauge cluster isn't working....so i popped the hood and looked over everything and i can't seem to find anything that is disconnected.

can someone tell me where the temperature sensor is, and possible a pic of what it looks like with the connector if possible..please note that i also did a ecu flash to just change the rev limitir yesterday also which i dont belive has any effect on this issue.

thanks for all the

Its probably going to be in the thermostat housing, part 10803 in this diagram (its for an Evo 5/6 but its unlikely they'd have moved it in later versions).

i see no place to connect anything on the housing, although thats the most logical spot.

Yeah, I just went and had a look at my 9 and couldn't see anything near the thermostat housing, just a load of wiring for what I guess is the Mivec control

Hopefully an adult will be along soon to point out to us its no doubt obvious location

It IS on the thermostat housing. Look on the housing near the connection for the water feed line for the turbo. There is a mall single blade connection on the sensor. Tiny small black plug with the connector taped back onto the wire facing the wrong direction.

Its hard to see because there is a lot of stuff in that area.

it was off completely, couldn't find where it went, was looking for some type of sensor connector, but it just kind of connects to a metal tab, kind of like one of the tabs on the end of a appliance socket.
