High Pitch Eeeeeeeee Sound?

1st off i want to say the car runs perfect
did leak tests--was clear
i hold rock solid boost a 22psi
no fluttering at all

Now the problem
The car at around 3,000 rpm if i am driving at low speeds in 2-4 gear if i push the gas ptal slightly just to keep the same speed say 25mph the car emilts a pretty loud high pitch constant eeeeeeeeeeeeee sound until i either press the gas further or get off the gas entirely
so basically if i keep my foot in one spot it will do it forever until my foot moves
any ideas?
BOv problem, intake whistle?

the car has a buschur stage 2
intake cone with 1g bov with plumbing--all tight

do you have a walbro fuel pump? take out the back seat, if it is louder, then it is probably the fp.

Honestly, I get the same problem. I just attribute it to NORMAL transfer case/ drivetrain noises. I wouldn't worry about it.

if it sounds like an alien ship landing then its a fuel pump. but i only hear my walbro that loud if i am sitting still and i just ran it hard, or it was real hot out. listen close when your at idle and if you sitll hear it faintly, then you know what it is. also is it the same sound you hear when you slowly take off in 1st gear? most evos make a high pitched sound like an airplane when doing that. Its definitely your 1st gen BOV. The valve whistles ~18-20 inches of vacuum. Its just something I learned to live with.

If it sounds like its coming more from the rear, its your tcase and its going bad. The sound travels down the driveshaft and sounds like its coming from the rear axle.

if it's the Walbro, the pitch of the whine (while at idle) will drop just with stressing the car's electrical system by pulling up on the window switches (windows already closed) for a few seconds; if the pitch changes, it's probably the Walbro...

+1 on fuel pump. but just check to make sure. i had the same constant high pitch noise coming from the back. then i took off the back seat and drove around to monitor the fuel pump noise. and its a positive! they're alot louder when the seat padddings are taken off..
