I have the Exedy Twin HD and I wouldn't say it's as smooth as the stocker, so the triple deff. isn't as smooth as stock. The twin isn't bad, just alot stiffer, have to keep the rpms up a little higher to move off a stop. It's not bad but if you do alot of driving you may want to consider a beater car for daily driving. It may cost you a bit off the bat but the less you have to change oil, brakes and other things going bad will save you money since parts for our cars are3 to 4 times more expensive then others.

The only problem i have with mine is when I'm creeping around really slowly and giving no throttle in 1st. When I ease on the throttle it bucks a bit when the drivetrain catches up. Other than that it's smooth and pretty easy going.

At or below 30% throttle or so it's just kind of like any other car, but if you go to pass and the boost comes in it's an entirely different story. It's predictable once you are used to the power.

Now, I'm only around 300 whp, but I'm tuned pretty aggressively (stock cat and intake). Getting to 350 or so from where I am wouldn't be hard. The differences in exhaust, IC and piping, and intake wouldn't really change drivability ... just noise. If you upgrade the cams it might change te throttle response a little.

As it has been said, the clutch is the biggest variable on the stock turbo. If you go to a GT series turbo you'd see a big difference as well.

for example- I let my brother drive my car, he hits the gas and the car was out of control for him. I told him to pull the fug over. he gladly did. It scared him.

As for highway driving- In my opinion Its not enough for ME. I want to feel the power that I feel in 1st and 2nd when im in 4th and 5th, so im trying alky.

As for city driving- in my opinion the only difference is at a stop your car sounds like a race car because of the cams. I have the bullet and test pipe. Its very thoaty. Its nice.

You can aim me if you want to know further.
We'll I can say that I had a few really nice cars under my belt that had more power then the Evo, just to name a few 1993 VR-4, 2001 M5, 2004 ZO6, 2004
350Z, the VR-4 and the M5 had probably 40 grand in performance mods, most of that money was in the M5.
So power wise I am comfortable with excessive power, for me is the fun factor still there with a Modded EVO?, or will I drive and say what happened its not the same car anymore, it makes me tired to drive.
you guys feel me?
example several years ago I drove my girlfriends Saab 9 turbo, it was a fast zip car but I got tired of it, the fun factor was missing.

currently in stock form my EVO 8 MR is really fun, thats the whole reason going with the EVO, but if you start increasing the power will the fun factor still be there or will I regret it because of the issues that come with the power if there are any?

bump for more responces

The EVO can be taken very far, as there are a ton of companies and tuners making very good parts and services.

You may want to ask yourself if you could be satisfied with your car at any one power-level. There are always ways of making EVOs faster. Judging from some of the cars on these forums, I think a lot of people are of that opinion.

I think people get "addicted" to modifying their EVOs.

I'm not addicted though, I focus most of my energy toward being addicted to Heroin.

Just Kidding, it's really the Booze
