front diff on 04 lsd or open?
One question though, what did you break? If it was just the diff and you didn't destroy the ring gear or anything else it would be cheaper to just get the parts then a whole casing.
Well my TC is making a loud Whinning noise from 45mph and up. I would but they dont sell the parts individually. I have to get the TC. Dosent the front differential sit inside the TC? If I'm missing something let me know. I'm not an expert on the drivetrain.
If it's whinning, you'll have to fix your TC.
The front diff is inside the TC, you need to open the TC prior to change it but this can be done on the car according to TRE website.
Mine was whinning, I made it rebuild by Shep with an RS LSD upgrade. I'm driving my car gently so far to break the new TC in. So far, hard to tell the difference between before (open diff) and now (LSD)
PM me if you have any question about the rebuild

I would think buying it from a company would be cheaper than a dealer since nearly everything is cheaper than buying from a dealer. Buschur racing has some I believe I'm sure other vendors do as well.
For your info, I broke mine 2 month ago.
Shep for a rebuilt asked me $2100 then there is the labor for the dealer $600 (inspection, removal/install, alignment that I've requested)
The dealer ask me $3950 for a brand new one + install. Afterwards it's up to you
