me and my freind were discussing how the evo 8 mr comes with the carbon in the insides of the sides of the wing as opposed to the stock ones with just the carbon blade and how i wanted one, then he mentioned he saw not long ago someone on ebay selling a wing in full carbon, i tried search ebay for this but had no luck has anyone got on on their car? or has the link to them? or is anyone selling evo 8 mr wings?

um this is the ralliart section but im pretty sure someone said that they are all CF the sides are just painted over to match the body

 

try a search in the evo FS forums and see what you turn up. i'd imagine someone has one for sale on here.

 

You are in the wrong section, but to answer your question, all OEM Evo 8 wings are full carbon, not just the MR. It's the Evo 9 wings that aren't full carbon.

the evo 8 wings only have the blade thats carbon, not 'stands' on the side are not carbon if you know what i mean

 

If you sand your wing down you will see that it is carbon fiber.

 

stock, the 'stands' come painted, but the whole wing ('blade'+'stands') is full CF.

 

i got the wing on my '03 8 replaced pretty early on and the replacement was not full carbon. i was deployed when this happened and my brother didn't know any better. but when i removed my wing to change trunk lids i checked it out, i was thinking of sanding down to full carbon. lo and behold, urethane with a carbon center piece.

 

i heard the 8's have full carbon
IX's only have the blade as carbon

 

i had my wing replaced under warranty cuz of the infamous clear coat wear, and i noticed the end pieces looked slightly different in the sun. but anyways... the dealership said that the old wings were all CF, but if you get one now, the end pieces are just plastic.
