SRT-4 Owner
he's got it right... keep up with the maintenance and you should be fine. I know some people that beat the living crap out of their cars and complain when something goes wrong...
^^ Thats what I tell myself aswell, go big or go home. I am saving as much as I can, hopefully I can sell the SRT around April or so, and I can get an Evo around May or June. I've been thinking really hard about it, and I really think im gonna go through with it. One of my friends with an SRT told me to go for it, I really want one, a nice Tarmac Black Evo is calling my name, I can hear it already lol!
I changed from a srt-4 to a evo 9 se. They both have their ups and downs but i'd say i like the evo a little more. The srt's are the best cheap speed car to come out in a while. Hands down the evo handles better and gets more looks. Both cars have good motors that will make good power with out needing a rebuild. My srt had about every done except a turbo swap or touching the motor. So far the evo has a better time at the track with just an exhaust. Having traction is a great thing coming over from spinning 1st and part of 2nd. Every srt owner knows about the boost leaks, colored lines for boost, traction problems, shift selectors, balance shafts, etc. I loved the top end pull, lower car payment, look you get when a neon beats some one else. I had alot of good times with my srt and at times miss that car payment. However all in all im happy with the evo.
I liked the "would you rather have a Lancer or a Neon" comment... Classic. The SRT is cheaper and will be cheaper. The Evo will be 10x more expensive and 100x more fun (okay, overexaggerations, but still).
