I have an TBE installed on my IX MR 1 month after I bought the car. The car is now 8 months old with 6k miles and I already had tc leaked at 5k the dealer said that it was over filled at the factory. Now the dealer didnt say anything about the tbe and the car has being 3 times already for warranty work . But everyone have been telling me that I should get a tune after the tbe upgrade. Now my question is do I lose anything going to the 3" tbe without the tune VS the stock TBE? I dont want to tune since I see alot more dealer vists in my future.

 

You can get tuned and flash your ECU back to stock if you need to go back to the dealer.

 

I want to wait atleast another 2k miles b4 getting a tune. Just to make sure that the tc leak is actually fixed. I just want to know the difference bet. the stock TBE and this AMS 3" tbe with the HFC without a tune.

 

shouldve gone with the test pipe.... save up your money becuase jus tunin it for a 3in tbe would be a waste of money.... jus my 2cents

 

I was planning on going to AMS stage 3 w/ a tune until I had the leak now I'm leaning away f/ modding for atleast another 2k miles if leak free. I was just trying to figure out if I'm better off with the stock TBE.
