Rhino ramps with foam filling?

Anyone tried filling the Rhino ramps with the expanding foam? I am not sure on the name, but I know people use it to fill boat hulls and stuff. You mix the two bottles and it expands and dries as a hard foam. I was thinking, if you do this then the fact that they are hollow and thus potentially fragile would be fixed? Between the foam and the ramps, it would still be pretty cheap relative to Race Ramps.

I know that stands are better, but I have a very tight garage and it makes use of a jack difficult.

Also, I was not sure which forum to post this in, which is why I put it here

Thanks

Rhino Ramps are supposed to support 2000lbs PER RAMP. Since the Evo weighs 3300lbs or so, I think you're fine.

The problem is getting on one of those suckers. If you have lowered your evo even an inch you're going to have to lay some wood work...

I did a search, and some people have said they had them crack, that is why I was thinking of foaming them. I figure it is just a little cheap insurance. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it yet.

I've never seen one crack. Have used them for years.

My only problem with these ramps is that they slide on my smooth concrete floor. I have to put rags under them. The foam would give you more surface area in contact with the concrete and might eliminate this problem.

I've had my Rhino ramps for over 5 years and have been fine through much abuse. The foam would probably work well but the added weight would make transporting the ramps more of a chore. Also since foam expands you have to be careful not to put too much or it may crack the ramps from expansion.

There should be 2 square rubber inserts on the front of them that helps keep them from sliding.

Obviously they help, but they don't have enough surface area to fully keep them from sliding, thus the rags. No doubt if I had a more textured surface this would not be a problem.

They are definately way too small to keep a car from sliding. Mine keep coming off the ramps when I move them and I sometimes find one in the driveway the next day.

yes put rubber matt below the small rubber feet... DONE.

i also been using rhino ramps for the last 4 years, STILL zero cracks.... stock suspension evos, various civic years, rsx's, supra etc etc... that thing went through alot.

i havent tried my mom's MDX but then again you dont exactly need a ramp to slide under that thing hehe.
