turbo xs h rfl BOV

Bare with me because I'm new to this. Anyhow, I purchased and installed a turbo xs BOV on my Evo IX. I'm kind of regretting it now because although it sounds really f..cking loud, performance wise, it causes my car to stall at high RPMs. The car idles fine at approx. 17, but when I'm driving in 5th gear and accelerating, unless I release a little off the throttle, the built up pressure will backfire and cause my car to stall out for a split second. Any tips on how I can fix this? I'm thinking about getting a Greddy type Bov in exchange perhaps when I come back from Iraq.

in all honesty VTA BOVs dont really work to well on our cars. If you want to hear you by pass valve I would just get a cone style air filter and yor dv valve will be alot louder and your car will run as it should.

Yea, I've begun to realize that as well. I should have gotten a forged recirc. type. Anyhow, I was reading in some other forums and came across some info. about HKS having an EID, which helps to eliminate the previously posted problem I listed earlier. Unfortunately, it doesn't describe too much in detail the schematics of the item.

Good choice. The 1G valve is a good way to go too if you get some IC pipes.
