Beginners Read Me: New To Your Evo Or Looking For An Evo?
First Mods:
The following is a good mod-path to follow. Where "tune" is in bold, indicates the times which you should get your car tuned for better performance and safety. The mods are spread out to allow more bang for your tuning-dollar, rather than getting a tune after every part.
1.)TurboBack Exhaust System
2.)Drop-in Air Filter (or air intake system)
3.)Boost Gauge (if you dont already have one)
4.)Wideband O2
5.)Manual Boost Controller
6.)Tune
---Anyone else care to add more to the list???

thanks for all the info. on the cars, it helps a lot. im new to the evo world and was just wondering about getting a 06 ix mr. what would be around the right amount of miles on it for only being five years old and do many things go out and (xamount) of miles that anyone has noticed? thanks for the help
I plan on buying a used 8 or 9 in the near future. I was wondering if there are any big differences modding-wise between the Evo 8 and 9? My goal with the car is about 380-400whp for a daily driver. I'm also looking for the cheaper route
This is a perfect place to start the evo search process! I had looked around for the differences between the evo 8 and 9 and this did one better than that! Year break down! Perfect! It is clear that going with a pre 2006 is a stupid choice!
