High idle after WOT run

I have notice that my evo idles high for 10 seconds or so after doing a wot run, for instance, geting onto the highway, going through second to fifth gear at wot, then putting the car in neutral, the idle stays at 4k for 10 seconds or so. Is this normal?, something that can be fixxed with a re-tune? Thanks.

These cars are set up to hold RPMs for a few seconds after you let off the gas, it has something to do with the intake manifold. This is normal. There is a post on here that talks about this exact thing.

at least not for 10 seconds.........1 or 2 seconds maybe but that seems a little too long IMO.

This happens to me too. After a hard pull I come to a complete stop and the car idles at like 11-1200 for a few seconds and then goes back to normal.

I always thought the car was revving itself to try and get the hot oil out of the turbo.

Mine stays at 4k or so, maybe for 3-5 seconds, after I thought about it 10 sec's is too long. Definately not 100 or 1200. I guess I need to have it looked at. Runs great other rhan that.
