evo8 not boosting

hey, guys my wifes 05 evo8 is not boosting and hitting fuel cut and i have the p0134 code poped up. she was driving iat 55mph accelerating when she heard a pop like the tire poped and emediatly the car started hitting fuel cut. she pulled over and checked the tires and she saw that there was no flats, she tryed to pull out but the car would hit fuel cut right after 1100 rps, she calls me and i go meet with her, first thing i thought was IC pip poped off, so i drove it home at like 25mph in 5th gear. got home removed the front bumper and checked all the piping and the turbo. and got the p0134 code for o2 sensor. the turbo has a lil bit of shaft play and lil bit of oil on the sucion side. the boost side is dry with no oil just that regular wetness in the walls of the intercooler piping. does anyone have an idea of how to check the o2 sensor? has anyone had this problem b4. the car has a manual boost controler, cat back upper and lower intercooler pipes and bov.

No way the O2 would make a noise ... double check all of your IC pipes. That's likely the issue since you have aftermarket pipes.

carb cleaner is a easy way to detect vacuum leaks with vehicle on. spray on places it would have a leak an the idle will erratically change when the carb cleaner hits the leak

Good advice: Check all the IC pipes, fittings, etc

I had my stock upper intercooler pipe pop off the other day. Sounded just like you described and definitely wouldn't rev over 1500 RPMs. My top hose was disconnected at the intake manifold next to the battery. I used a philips to loosen the clamp and reattached it. While I was doing that I noticed it was wearing against the battery terminal so I replaced the hose. It could have easily "burst" at the wear point which would have been a little harder to find.

Hope you find out what is wrong.
