Today something strange happened to me today i was driving and felt like something stuck underneath the gas pedal i put my hand by the pedal and found a plastic peace,round shaped with a hole in the middle that look's like it's screws in someplace is this a gas peda stopper?has anyone have this problem tried screwing it in underneath the gas pedal because there's a threaded stud sticking out but the plastic in the middle is stripped has anyone had this same problem,also need a new one what is this part called thankyou. :

 

Quit pushing your gas pedal so hard. Yeah, you'll want a new one, so you don't put unnecessary stress on your butterfly valve or throttle cable by trying to push the pedal further than it's supposed to go.

 

Does it screw in all the way down, tried to but it just keeps spinning around do you know what it's called so i can get a new one from the dealer thanks.

 

I have the same exact problem. IDRINKY8's did you find a new one? Do you have a part number by any chance?

Hey white_evo27, any chance you can share the part number of that stopper? I tried searching for lancer, stopper, pedal, cap, top, plastic, screw-on and came up with nothing.
