you could have gotten a case of AMSOIL 10-30w synthetic for that price and you would have had 12 quarts

$23.00 moblie 1 @ wal mart, $10.00 for filter @ autoze...do it yourself, less than 30 min if you got ramps, and still got enough left for a six pack!!!

Realistically you don't even need ramps in an evo. You can crank the wheel to the side and go to town for the filter. The drain will be a couple inches longer reach but doable. I'd rather DIY so that I can spend the ching on a 12 pack of beer.

I pay $50 at the dealer. It's worth looking around for a better deal.

never ever ever ever go to the dealer for an oil change... did that the 1st time when i 1st bought my evo, cost me 85.00.... never again... do it myself, 15 min later, saved 40.00, went to the bar and enjoyed the extra cash w/ some refreshing millers lol

just did my change a few days ago...my cost was (6.95)-oem filter plus new crush seal from dealer.....buy 2 or 3 at a time, and (7.99)x5 for royal purple 10w30 syn this by far is the best combo you can run..i notice a 5 degree temp drop compared to the mobil 1 crap. I also wanted to remind the oil noob's who don't know even though i bought 5 quarts the car should take right at 4 1/2 quarts****do not overfill

I spend about $65 changing the oil myself, but I use Amsoil Dominator oil. $11 per quart and $7 for the oem filter.

That's over dealer prices. Depends on the oil.
