Newbie here!! boost gauge question
Sorry for the ignorance but my evo doesnt have a boost gauge....I want to get one but is there a specific kind? i see lots of mm sizes what kind should i get ? I ahve been looking I just dont want order one and be SOL ... and how much does it cost to get it installed?
52 mm should be the size your looking for, they also make 60 mm too just depends what size pod your going to put it in. as for kind theres so many depends how much money you have i run prosport- its cheap like 40 bucks and pretty accurate. but if your looking for something really nice i would look into defi there expensive but good. as for installation why not just do it yourself, if you need help i can be of assistance and theres some write ups also on here.
Its extremely easy to install a boost gauge you could do it yourself with no problems there's a write up on here that will tell you what you need to know.2 1/16" is the standard size i think that's 52mm(guessing) you just need to buy a gauge pod and buy the appropriate sized gauge.I use Stewart Warner but DEFI,prosport, and autometer are the top brands.
yes the make pods ( for your a pillar, or to mount on your steering wheel and the normal size is 52 mm

it regulates the amount of boost that comes into the engine, it acts as a door only allowing a given amount of exhaust to hit the turbocharger's exhaust turbine. Once the engine starts producing more exhaust pressure then the wastegate system will allow, a flap is opened to redirect excess exhaust away from the turbine blades.
