Hey, I just subscribed to evolutionnm and I love it. I got some questions on parts I've been checkin out. Unfortunately I dont have an evo yet, (gotta wait until hs graduation) so I'm just learning as much as I can about the car and checking out parts for my upcoming projectevo. I was recently looking at fuel computers and boost controllers and I'm wondering what the differences, advatages or disadvantages of using a fuel comp (ex. apexi s-afc) and a boost controller would be. I was also looking at engine management systems aswell(stand alone and piggy back) and I'm wondering which would be the better way to go.
Would the fuel comp and boost controller cause some problems with the stock ecu? Would a piggy back engine management cause similar problems?
