newb needing help

I have not the first clue about anything under the hood . Hope to learn though!

This hose keeps coming off at the end where the yellow painted clamp is. Tightened it with a 2 foot flat head screw driver and still blows off when driving sometimes. the hose also has some wear on it and a hole might be starting. Still working the kinks out of this evo 9 because it was used when i got it.

What hose do i need and clamps and where can i find them. I would like good quality.

Thanks in advance.

get a regular ol T-bolt clamp... not exactly sure where to get them, but they usually come with aftermarket parts that require clamps..

go to Napa, Most have the propper size "T bolt" clamps in stock. you can also try a bit of hairspray on the coupler, makes it easy to slide on and drys like glue

I would stay away from the t-bolt clamps. Find yourself some high end band clamps that are re-usable and have indents rather than slits in which the threads use to tighten the clamp. The one pictured is for one time use. After you replace your clamps, leak test your system.

Those clamps bend aluminum pipes very easily, so be careful not to over tighten, if you go that route. Also, I have had at least three of those clamps bolts stripped by the nut for no apparent reason, other than frequent loosening and tightening. There are cheaper and better alternatives out there.

Also remember when buying an UICP, check for fitment issues. Some require a small battery, and some need the stock air box removed. Search and ask questions before buying so you know what you're getting yourself into.
