Now back to it I order the best first and downgrade later but obviously you cant do the same. I saved for this evo after dealling witha mazda for two years . I miss my 4g63 everyday! So now I go to the 4b11 and want to know every freaking detail so if anyone can help out that would be great.

 

any specs on 4b11 ralliart vs 4b11 evo? internals are they both forged and the same?

 

All I can say is go for the MR or GSR either of the 2 can't go wrong.
Lancer Ralliart? Just dont like the body and the plastic BOV from the manufacturer.

if i was you i would go with the IX gsr ssl cuz its 5spd(i hate automatics) and u already kno the 4g63

 

For me money was not an issue and I chose a ix over a X. If you are set on the X and you can drive stick get a X GSR, and use the money you saved over the MR for mods.

I was just reading a thread on here about the MR tranny overheating at the track. The ralliart's transmission is designed for less power, so if you plan to upgrade to evo power levels you will likely have transmission problems. You will not be able to make a ralliart into an evo for $8k

THe ralliart has a narrow track like a regular lancer. It has regular lancer suspension. Motortrend complained that it was much closer to the lancer than the evo. I would buy a wrx before a ralliart. THe wrx is your bargain performance car. THe new wrx is only .1 seconds slower to 60 and 1/4 mile than the STI (0-60 4.8 seconds)

 

The mag reviews have correctly identified the performance differences of both models.
