Rattle From my Exhaust

Okay well I put on my AMS full 3'' Turbo back exhaust with test pipe. This was about a couple months ago and it has been rattling off and on. Its coming from the bracket around the driveshaft. Has anyone else had this problem ? If so what was your way you fixed it

Do you have any pictures of which bracket in particular that you are talking about?

yep, provide photo if u can. because chances are, this rattle is coming from the exhaust, not the driveshaft. usually as the exhaust pipe vibrates and knocks on the heat shield....

the best way to tell (if u didnt already do so) is to go to a shop, put the car on the lisft, u run the engine, while a mechanic looks underneath

well if its not hitting the rear bumper then you might have a bad exhaust....i know thats lame as hell but i've had that happen to me ( not with AMS ) but another exhaust. maybe bring it to a shop first b4 you send it back

I know its hitting the bracket around the driveshaft because i have looked directly at it and saw that its just barely missing it and when i start the car up, certain times it will rattle

I've got the same problem. Different exhaust system than you though. It tapps up against the bolt that is located on the drive shaft, but holds on the heat shield. Pics of mine attached for reference.

I have been thinking of just removing the heat shield to try to stop the rattling. Has anyone else done this? Can removing this heat shield cause any problems?

Removing the heat shield should not cause any problems unless your parking on top some tall dry grass and you've been driving your car pretty hard then you have to worry about catching it on fire, but how often does this happen?? haha. The heatshields will end up falling off eventually anyways, might as well be ahead of the game!
