Bolt-ons question

Hey everyone i'm soon to be in the evo x market (trading in my g35). I've been researching like crazy and definitely love the idea of getting awd and a turbo.

Anyways, i've noticed that with basic bolt-ons (exhaust, IC pipes, and a cobb ap stage 2 for example) the X can make 300 at the wheels pretty easily, about a 100hp increase. But it seems like when you switch out the injectors, cams, and switch the turbo (for an fp red for instance) the cars end up making about 100 more hp only, even with a tune and all other bolt-ons. Looking at videos/posts I haven't found any that make more than 400whp without race gas. Looking at the 9 it seems like they make 500 at the wheels pretty easily with the same setup.

By the way please excuse my lack of knowledge and probably misguided judgements/arguments and I can't wait to be part of the evo community

if you go with the GT35R you can make 500 whp easy on stock internals, here is a video of the ets evo x making 612 whp with stock internals. Aparently the evo's block withstands the power... i would recommend going on the safe side and sticking to 500whp on lower boost but you can easily make 600whp if you have a good tuner.

Mustang seems to be 210-225, dynojet 245-260.

The X is still a pretty new car, so most customers are not wanting to throw on a turbo kit on a brand new 30-40k car. I think we will see a ton more turbo kits and big upgrades in the next couple of years. The 8/9 have been out for a while now (6-7 years state side). The motor has also been the same for a bit now.

We can make 500whp on pump gas with a 35R turbo kit and spool up around 4200-4500rpm on the street. The car pulls great and responds really well to modifications.

Thanks,

Michael

Thanks for all the comprehensive answers everyone. I'll definitely miss the style and coupe feel of the G but can't wait for the AWD, turbo, and raw power and handling of the evo.

Casper- I'm pretty sure my car is worth about 15 trade-in maybe 17 private party. It's an 05 with 69k on it. Just got a new clutch/flywheel, car's in very good condition, and all service is up to date. I bought it for 21 last november and I definitely overpaid. I've seen desperate dealers selling 07's with 25k or less miles for 21, but also saw an 06 the other day with 40k miles and the dealer was asking 25.

ETS Michael- Is that turbo the garret 3582R posted on your site? The setup for $3600?
