When I first go my Evo, I cranked the boost up to 40psi and added a 3 stage 150 shot of NOS. The car was set up for 10's and it had stage 7 mods. Real nice JDM neon kit too that was set to flicker to music. Anyway, I was in the middle of a street race across the Golden Gate Bridge and I flipped the switch for the 3rd stage of NOS, and the engine blew sending shards of downpipe fluid all over the road. The neon tubes all blew and I actually got poisoning from neon gas inhalation. So the moral of the story is that unless you are running JDM neon tubes, you should be pretty safe in the event of a catastrophic engine failure.
<-------Speaking from the grave. What killed me was the heart attack I had when Buscher handed me the bill for the repairs on the blown motor.
