im upset about evos

hey guys well im having a hard time finding a dealer that will finance me an evo, ive wanted an evo since 2003 when i was in school. Me being 19 im just building my credit and im using my aunts credit, she has a 720 credit score but the thing is she doesnt make much income. Im getting kinda upset because now that i have 2000 to put down its not helping me out at all, im kinda sad and i just wanted to post this for peace of mind

Dude relax, don't get depressed over that. Focus on building your credit & income.
Because owning an Evo is not cheap.
Evo's are going to be around for a while....look at the Finer things in Life, your Breathing

Seriously, when I was 19 I got a 350z, big mistake because the insurance alone was more than the car note. No one wants to loose their car because of some insurance.

I moved out of my dorm sophmore year to work more and buy an evo. I sure do enjoy my evo now but I'm sure I missed out on a lot of tail. Instant gratification is tough.

To be brutally honest, if you need your aunt's credit score to be able to just finance an Evo and can only put 2k down, I don't think you're ready for the financial burden that will come with owning one. I was lucky enough to be able to pay mine cash, so I don't have any car payments to worry about.

Don't worry, your time will come!

I was in ur same shoes man, I'm 20 and I tried EVERYTHING to get my Evo. I finally saved up a $4,000 down payment and we got to work something out with the dealer and now I'm a proud owner of an Evo. But I work 40 + hours a week and go to school full time. Good luck man, hang in there don't get discouraged. Good things come to those who wait.

if you are struggling (and failing) to get financing with a decent deposit simply on purchase, you will be selling within a year from the cost of maintenance and insurance(especially at your age).

now if you do have alittle cash reserve, you will most likely not have the patience to save it but instead you'll blow it on mods then ultimately your evo will start falling apart...

in another words, your young... you have tons of time to save up and strengthen your credit

since your so young your a high risk and your aunt not making much does help as the bank looks at that like we may have to repo this car and the burden on us. So to offset the loan you need to put more money down so the bank has to loan less money to make this happen. So spend the next couple months into the summer etc seriously saving money so you can put down say 6-8 grand then you will see doors open for you.

times are tough... when i bought mine i went in there... basically said i want this car... signed some papers and drove away... no down payment... but times are different.. the world is falling apart and evo 8 and 9s are getting old... a short term loan on a 15000 plus dollar car is huge and a highhh risk! especially an evo being a level 20 and your 19 the bank sees all this... my insurance is 150 a month on perfect record!!

you looking at 6 7 or 800 a month on a car, plus maintence, plus tearing it up, its ridiculous what we pay for these cars, if your job at the piggly wiggly is that good then save more up, and show the bank that you are financially sound, and they will give you a loan!! there not stupid they have done this before and they really treasure there money

Focus on doing well in school, and saving your money. Evo's aren't rare, and you will get yours one day. Patience is a virtue!

No offense, but I don't think 2K is enough to put down...Theres some kind of ratio that if you put a certain amount as a down, you'll look better 'on paper', especially if your aunt is showing that she is not making enough income. Best of luck and DON'T give up!
