Just picked this up!

Has anyone heard that our rear diff aren't assembled correctly?
REF:
DB -"...THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL IN YOUR USDM EVOLUTION 8-9 WAS ASSEMBLED WRONG FROM THE FACTORY WHEN IT WAS SHIPPED TO THE USA. I can only speculate as to why this was done. #1, US drivers are pussies and need a car that pushes in the corners. #2, When the diff is set up properly it "clicks" when you turn, this would lead to the same US pussies crying to the dealer and having warranty issues. #3, so the same ******s on EVOm who like to argue with me can pay someone to lie to them and charge them to set it up like it was suppose to be in the first place and come away smiling about getting something in their *** once again. My guess is #3 is the most correct...."

Going back together!

Got it in but I had to pull it back out to get the Mustache bar on. It was a tight fit

Deciding if I want a e-brake or not. Haven't had one since I bought this car and haven't had any issue but there are times it would be nice, like when you need to jump out of the car for a sec. with the car running.

definitely saves a little weight with out

Car is back together. Needs an alignment and something really strange is going on with my rear diff fill plug, seams like its to small? I really hope I don't need to take the whole rear end back out...

Btw I have really enjoyed reading your updates. I am of the same school of thought as you when it comes to working on my own cars. It's such a cool feeling when you get something done by your self and when something is not right I amost always am able to track it down because it was a little mistake on my part instead of tring to get a mechanic to admit to Him doing something wrong.

I don't have a lot of extra cash so doing my own work is really my only option! But yea I like doing it myself anyways
