Thanks everyone!

So I got the car registered last night after work, checked the air presser, oil and installed the rear license plate. The gf and I drove to the carwash to rinse her off then went out for dinner. On the way back I was just driving normal and get pulled over. Officer said my exhaust is inadequate and called it "to much base". Then continued to say my tint is illegal and pointed out I didn’t have a front plate. The window tint came in at 17% where as 70% is legal in NY. When it was all said and done I got a fix it ticket for the exhaust but there really isn't much I can do about that. I don’t have the stock exhaust and I only have today to get it fixed (24 hrs). Then once fixed have it inspected. Looks like I have to pay this one. But on a positive note this car is so sick, throttle response and quickness is awesome I cant believe how much I enjoy driving this car! Its so hard to drive her slow.

hey man alittle trick i figured out with fix-it tickets with exhaust is to just replace the bolts to the rear section so they look brand new. take it to an expection station just tell the that you got pulled off cause you hit something and it was leaking at the rear section and i fixed it. they look make sure you fixed it sign it off and down the road you go to get another on. just dont tell them you got it for being to loud

Nice evo and the Honda will be awesome and mean a lot to you when you are finished with it because it was your own hands that built that car.

There is only one video on youtube. If you do a search for shrek Honda you should find a pull starting at 70mph up to 140ish

Thanks for the trick, you got me thinking. I drove to the muffler shop in town and said I got this ticket for no exhaust, Then I said I put a exhaust on and I need it conformed. Guy signed with out even looking under the car. I feel bad for lying but it feels good to not pay that ticket and court surcharge!

Thanks, this car got me into a hobby that I love. I have learned so much from doing things myself and these forums. It wasn’t to long ago that working on a engine was intimidating to me. I also have been real lucky that my buddy lets me use his shop. I cant wait to finish up and see what it can do! Part of me just wants to get it done, race it for the summer then sell, but we will see. I almost didn’t post anything about the Honda I see a lot of mixed opinions on them in car forums.
