i was just wondering what material is the front bumper of a evo 9 made out of. thanks

I thought it was made of baby seal whiskers until I saw some of these posts. ABS plastic, if I'm not mistaken.

No it's not ABS plastic at all. Not even close. I will get you the info tomorrow though.

The platic type is stamped on it, just an FYI.

It's something like PP-EE or PTFE. It's a poly of some sort just off memory.

 

I thought it was Urethane or a similar material...

 

i think its poly something plastic. fiberglass is use to make getto cheap *** bumper that u can get for less than 100 bucks knock-off bumpers

 

I think urethane is less rigid. I suppose I could peek under the bumper, but I've spent too much time under there this weekend and am feeling lazy atm!
