Evo 7 hood weight? Material?
Hello,

Trying to find out what material the Evo 7 (vii) hood was made from. Is it aluminum like the evo 8/9? Anyone have the exact weight of a evo 7 hood?

I don't have the exact weight, but it's very close to the 8/9 hood and is also aluminum.

Awesome, just wanted to see if its worth going with a fiberglass hood instead.

Solely for weight saving purposes? I'd say no, unless you needed to replace your hood anyway and you had a fiberglass hood available for cheap.

I have access to a fiberglass hood but prefer going with an oem option. If anyone has the exact weight it would be much appreciated.

I remember Buscher saying he wasn't going to offer a carbon fiber hood because an aluminum hood is lighter. Carbon fiber should be lighter than fiberglass.

Unfortunately, carbon fiber is quite a bit more expensive in comparision to stock and a bit harder to find.

Anyone else have an exact weight?
