everyone pretty much said what i am thinking, so i will keep it short and sweet based on my experience. over the passed 2 years, i bought an 04 evo and my buddy bought an 06 sti. we both did basically the same mods, came out to the same power numbers, at the track we were neck and neck. main differences were: evo was easier to work on, i spent almost exactly HALF of what he did, and I could out handle him in the corners (however that is subjective due to driving).

that being said, if you want a comfy, STOCK, DD with a nice rumble, the STI would be a good choice as well. Either way you will have fun, just depends on your ultimate and long term goals.

I joined 7 years ago, back when the Evo just hit the shores and this site was mainly a Lancer forum and I owned a Lancer. Nice try though, it did give me a laugh.

You owned a Lancer? So why in the world would someone listen to your advice, and why are you posting in a thread like this?

I mean; have you owned an Evo?


And you're not the only one.......trust me. MANY people on this forum driving cars other then Evos. Oh, sorry.....other than Lancers too......
