Just use the stock clutch. I have pulled 1.6 60fts and driven over 20K miles on my mid 300whp evo. The stock clutch just works awesome. I had a twin in there and for the power level it was way overkill and super annoying on a daily driver. If you want a little more then do an ACT HD with a 6puck sprung hub disk. I have that for when I put on a t3 based turbo and move to the 500whp range.

My stock one started slipping. I went to F1 kit (from eBay) and my wedge collar ring went off the clip twice when I was launching the car (to test the clutch). Right now I am tired of taking everything apart and I want something that will last long. Does anyone have a Competition Clutch Stage 2 ??? What do you think about it???

Get the stage 3. Its kevlar so it can take the heat from the launching abuse and the pedal feel very close to stock. Also engagement is pretty smooth for normal take offs and not choppy like puck style disks are.

Just get the Execy Twin HD. It holds a lot of power so if you decide to go bigger you dont have to replace the clutch.

Do it right do it once.

my act gives me problems at the track, but fine for DD. I just dont ring it out as hard, so the issue never happens.

clutchmasters stage 3.
kevlar friction material. smoother than stock to drive. holds more power. lasts longer than stock friction material. shifts about like stock. stock type lockout. when disc wears out simply install new disc and you are ready to go again. kevlar doesnt wear out metal. it just polishes it. best friction material on the market.
had a car here with 2.3/35r that was using this clutch. held 520whp but I dont remember tq numbers. likely around 475ish tq.
