Question What clutch kit for 330whp daily driven EVO VIII?

Hi everyone!
I have a 5 speed 2005 EVO VIII and I need to replace my clutch. Car has 330whp and it is being used for daily driving. I don't plan any more modifications, so the hp will stay as it is. What clutch kit would you suggest without braking the bank???

I'm looking forward to hear this too, I have a IX and I'm putting out around 350whp. I have an Exedy HD Twin clutch on there now.

I am thinking about ACT MB7-HDSS. But somebody told me that Competition Clutch kits are decent also (and they are even cheaper). What do you think???

Exedy Twin Plate kit (with flywheel), SS Clutch Lines, STM Clutch Fork Stop, OEM Throw out bearing and you are set. It is expensive, but well worth it.

If you're not drag racing, ACT will be fine. 2nd gear high RPM lockout is a common problem with the ACT setup.

Depending on how much you want to spend. If you want to save as much as possible and get something that works pretty good.

CCI stage 3.

PM Maperformance vendor they'll probably have a great deal for you.

The best from my experience and that I hear are exedy and quartermaster but pretty high in price for the kit replacements are around 400 so not bad. But cheap kit I believe is ACT

Stock clutch...I'm at 340whp on a Mustang dyno, daily driven, and it has over 30k miles on it. No slipping at all.

It isn't just second. The clutch just has high RPM lock out issues in all gears. Your clutch will be decided on how much TQ your car has. Not the WHP.

If you plan on ever drag racing the car, or it's even a remote posiblilty, stay away from ACT, just the the twin disc the first time.

Car will be used for daily driving. No drag racing, only few times a year lights to lights on the street with random people. Like everyone. What about competition clutch???
