keep in mind the operational tempo of the Army right now. Even though the 'combat' troops are leaving Iraq...there are still many brigades deploying there. The surge in Afghanistan means that FORSCOM units are on 1 year on 1 year off plan as well. FORSCOM is most likely where you will end up...'everyone!!! ends up in FORSCOM'

if you are ok with deploying to a combat zone and doing it every other year than by all means j up man!

Lol. I have trained many LT's and they are great people. I respect my Officers, and without them we would have issues lol. Enlisted and the Officer side, we are the leaders that make it happen.

I see everybody saying the term MILITARY but it seems only army guys are in here...
You can do ROTC in HS and get a Head start on everybody in the USAF and come in as a E-3 instead of a E-1....
Or you can go to college and do ROTC there and try and get commissioned from there...\
Many options... Not all branches gives Bonus just to join especially since there trying to "slim" down...
Dont join if u not ready... Dont join just to get a car...

Forgot to mention and it may not be an issue, but nyquil2 does have a point about the sliming down. I signed my contract in June and I don't leave til February. It would be close to 2 years for the air force just to go to basic.
