But he sent himself to a boot camp were he can get his GED and i have been mailing him letters and he is truely a better person! and that really inspires me to join now! So thank you for helping me in my life decision, I AM joining the military thanks to you! Ill pm you about some other things...
He is right, but i havnt read to much into the thread, just the evo shouldnt be your first car... just not recommended (insurance/carpayment) will b much.. Used evos are very iffy... tend to have alot of problems even if your buying from a dealerships, ppl test drive the sh** out of em, last input.. wish you all the luck man, no one can tell you what you can or cant do

Don't count on getting a enlistment bonus when you join, I didn't get one. If you decide to join the military you got the GI Bill which will pay for your college, even when you get out. You have 10 years to use it after you seperate from the military so keep that in mind.

I believe the GI Bill is covering 80k. I think it was 50k prior 9/11. You'll pay $100 a month for a year to pay for the GI Bill. They said we'd get the money back after we pay off the GI Bill. But I haven't seen one penny of that.

even if you don't get it back, you get e5 BAH as a monthly stipend in the post 9/11 GI bill. There are other options for you education wise as a veteran too like Vocational Rehabilitation and Education (VR&E/Voc Rehab) which pays 100% of tuition/fees/books (no matter the institution), but the stipend isn't as great as post 9/11. It just depends on what works for you.

He isnt a troll. And dont come in here insulting anyone. Take your immaturity elsewhere. This thread has nothing but great points as to what this guy is doing as a career. You come in here talking down on the kid, then you have alot of military men to argue with. And I dont think you want that hero.

No I'm not a troll, and that you for defending me! Why do you assume I am a troll? I honestly am interested in the army and I do plan on enlisting!

They are just ignorant with nothing to do man. Ignore the insults, because their loser comments speak for themselves. Ignore them and they will get their panties in a knot and leave. haha

Have you looked into other branches, or are you dead set on the Army?

honestly if you dont get the evo i would say look in to the new si. i had one before my 9 and i honestly had more fun in it then i had ever had in the evo. plus i had it supercharged. and a lot of guys might say it was probably slow but it was fast enough to keep up with a new z06. so there were no complaints here. two guys i know also got rid of the evo Xs to go back to hondas. have fun in what ever you get. im just laying back and growing up now. i just want to get from point a to b with a nice car. i have a tc now and the great gas mileage keeps me in it.
