ok quick question, 1st off i don't know a ton on mitsu's. so here goes. would it be at all possible to swap in a gst eclipse motor and tranny or something like that extent to the lancer??? i've heard of people putting 4g63's into mirage's what about lancers?????

 

different mounting locations from what i understand. the DSM 4g63's are mounted mirror to the JDM 4g63's. but i'm not a lancer owner and i'm not 100% certain on that fact

 

one word .....search. its been posted a million times, not unless you have a ton of money time and skill

 

ok i type in 4g63 and i get 2342342343 threads i type in dsm and other words also 38348392384 so instead of 1 word search it would be helpful to post maybe a link and say hey go here. thanks for the useless post

Well, they said you can, but no one has spent much money and time to this point.. I love my Lancer OZ, tho has a sucky engine, thats why i wanna try it out and research on how to do an engine swap... Gotta have hook ups too... Like bigg companies?.. Like Area51 Fabrications?.. RRM?.. Gotta get those...

 

I just took 2 minutes and ran a search for engine swap dsm and got 24 threads, including this one titled Looking to put a 4g63 fwd into my OZ <--- Hey, go here

thanks for those who posted the links, i'll check them out now. Some of u guys have some serious attitude problems. OMG another question someone has posted let's all say search instead of a simple link and try and get our post count up.

Sorry, I am sure they're not trying to be rude (or at least I'm not) but it sometimes gets annoying to log onto your favorite forum and find the same thread week after week. Although I must admit, your topic isn't as common as, say, the "which wheel size would fit my lancer" topic. But sometimes it seems like some people repost the same question in order to get their newbie status upgraded.

However, I do agree with you that just posting the word search is pointless, which is why I did the search and posted links to the results for you. Sorry if we came off as offensive, and good luck on any projects you have in the future.

 

And if it makes you feel any better, I just noticed that this thread got moved to the newbie forum, so nobody's posts here will count anyway
