Gauge Removal

I've got an Evo 8, and the previous owner installed 2 gauges on the steering column (boost gauge and pyrometer) and I waned to remove them.

As well, I'm not sure about removing the pyrometer (where it goes and possible wires to cut). Any info would help here.

I know I'll need to cap off the vacuum line for the boost gauge and I'd like to properly remove the power wires, but would it be too much effort and be better to just cut them?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you changing to different boost gauge? I ask to make sure you can still watch boost. AFR's and boost should be priority if you are modding the car.

yeah man you want to keep the boost gauge, just relocate it. it's a vital tool to keep.

Thanks for the replies, but currently I am not planning on doing any severe engine mods, I'll save that for later

But currently I have the two gauges removed but I still have a few things going through the firewall.

There were two yellow wires and a vacuum hose that went somewhere to the engine.

I'm confident I'll be able to remove the vacuum hose, but I'm not sure where the two yellow wires went.

The wires were for the EGT seemed to go underneath the engine, I believe they would go somewhere near the headers, but if someone knows where that goes and whether or not I'll need to use my lift, that'd be great.

Yeah that's what I was worried about, what did you do about it?
