what kind of fuel is everyone using? I only use shell 93. I tested the 93 at my local shell and it contains zero ethanol.

I tried the BP station by me (93 octane w/ 10% ethanol) and I got noticeably worse gas mileage with it.

I'm in the same boat as most the other guys. 200 miles on a tank. Even breaking in my build staying under 4k rpms and outta boost I get just a tad over 200. In the process of a Mellon tune and hoping for a little better mileage, but not to concerned.

Damn some of you guys get terrible mileage lol. When I had my 03 and had bolt ons and a tune I was getting about 300 miles to a tank with mostly highway driving and getting around 270 city driving, If I drove hard I would still get around 250-260. This was on stock cams and injectors too though.

I was beginning to wonder... I drove 8 hours to buy our 03 evo and trailered it home. (Bought the week before thanksgiving) Then Had to head right past that same dealership to go see some wife's family for thanksgiving the following week. Got 310 miles and showed about 1/8th of a tank still, no light coming on. I stayed out of boost as much as possible, and that was all highway, filled up and calculated it out to be 28mpg.

My gas mileage is fine out of boost. Lol

On the way home, weather was better and I drove like a bat out of hell and got 10-12 MPG.... mostly because the Hvac knob broke!

PS all I can get is 91 octane, and shell seems to be the best.

and the evo only has 3" turbo back (catted) exhaust, MBC, and a tiny K&N in place of the stock air filter. that is it.

and the broken heater mod lol

Does any one else see the fuel needle move when boosting?

I saw 18 mpg highway IIRC on e85 with the 700+awhp tune in it. I haven't measured it on pump gas lately but it should be over 20 easily if I could behave for a minute

yep, the only way I have any idea about the e85 mpg is because I drove the car from Memphis to Kansas for a dyno day with MidwestEvos.com but we played around some. It's just too tempting when the car is set on kill mode

Most I ever got was 315 on a tank. But I usually get 275-290 per tank
