Do you warm up your evo in the winter

I hear lots of different opinions on this but let me say I've always warmed up my cars since I first got my license 10 years ago. Lately all I hear is that warming up the car is more harmful than good, and carbon build up and yadda yadda yadda...

I want to know from you guys who have had these cars longer than me if you warm yours up or just do the 30 sec let the oil circulate thing and take off?

Only during the winter. During the summer I don't warm it up at all but I take it easy until it gets over 120*F (oil temp gauge)

I live in the East Coast, so, yes, I let my IX-MR warm up until the temp gauge moves past the 'C'. Then, when I do take off, I don't rev it too high because I want the trans oil to warm-up too. In the warm months, I wait until the revs drop to about 1,100 rpms and then I'm gone! I have my car since new, now with 71,000 miles and NEVER had I had ANY issues...

I give it about 30 sec then get to driving. Once oil is circulating I just head out and drive easy til everything is warm.

If I left the car outside I warm the car up. If it is in the garage and the temp in the garage is not to low I don't.

For a min or two then take it easy till fully warm. It's more of driver comfort then powertrain health cause all it takes is 30 sec for motor to be fully lubricated.

newer cars dont need to be warmed up past 30 sec just to get the oil moving..your car will actually warm up a lot quicker if u just shift below 3k.. this also saves your tranny because most will think their car is fully warmed up and they usually are, but the tranny is still pretty cold if u just let it sit in the driveway to warm the engine up..

As soon as I start it up, I launch the car at over 9000 rpm.
