FP turbos? highly recommended?

I have been looking to upgrade my turbo and doing my research. I've noticed many members recommend and use fp turbos so I decided to google them. After getting on their website I WAS liking what I saw BUT, upon hitting the back button, returning to the google search results I stumble on this,

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/review-s...nce-turbo.html

Being one huge on customer service, which is wat this mainly seems to be about, I would like to get some other opinions before ordering from them. With that said opinions? Bad experience or good everthing is welcome. Any bad experience please provide documentation like u see in the link provided so that it can not be viewed as just heresay. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Ha that's funny. I can't say I've ever seen a negative turbo thread from a evo driver. But I have a FP housed 30R that I love. I think its a awsome turbo over stock. U can make between like 370 and 400 with supportin mods. Its at full spool around like 4200 and hits nice.

FP customer service is second to none. You need to do some more research if you think that is their weak side. I know many Evo and DSM owners who run FP turbos and manifolds, whenever there is a problem, they simply called in and send back the parts and every issue was resolved quickly and professionally. I personally just recieved my first FP product which was an 84mm red and the entire expirence with doing business with them was something that every company should pride themselves on duplicating.

Their Subaru owners, what do you expect?

I'm not going to read through that guys email conversation with FP completely but it sounds like FP is going above and beyond to make this guy happy.

Forced Performance makes a wide variety of turbos... Just make sure your choice is the right one and their customer service is like any on their small company. If they get overwhelmed with work they obviously can not get to the phone, but they will try their hardest to make everything right...

Remember, good things come to those that wait....

fp makes great products and their customer service is great...their wait time however on upgrades may lack at times. 3.5 months for a black conversion i recently waited.

I think fp turbo's is a excllent way to go, but for those 2000$ price tag... you really have to ask yourself, are they really worth it. Ill get a gt30 or gt35 before i spend 2000$ on fp turbos. Thats just my opinion.

Its by far negative. Im neutral that's y im asking peoples opinions on fp turbos. Alot of people are giving positive input so far.

And yes 2k is a little steep for their turbos I recently picked up a precision 6776h for my honda for 1200 bucks. But I am looking for something with some punch good spool up and keeping some for uptop power as well, whereas the 6776h takes quite a while to spool and its all uptop power.

And yes that thread is from 07 but a company has a reputation and when someone sees something like that it makes you think twice.

Thanks for the input so far guys.

You also have to realize that becasuse of their popularity and high product sales much like any product, the more that goes out the higher chances are that someone will eventually have some kind of defect or problem. The guy was just one of the unlucky ones.
