It will look similar to this, but you will have a flange right on the uicp for the bov and then a recirc pipe will run to your intake pipe.

btw thats exactly my setup now with the evo 9
If you look on their website they offer a flange option for the HKS specifically, you will have to get your uicp reflanged but yes pretty much backwards. You will also need to the recirc pipe they sell as well.
and i got the uicp with the hks bov i got the whole kit
I run VTA and its fine, i only notice a bit of driveability issues in stop and go traffic now since i did my bigger cams.
stalling issues? cause thats what i have now with the 9 bov due to leaks. i have stock cams so with the stock cams do you think ill run into issues, or im def gunna need tuning if i do it like that?
Its hard to say it seemed to run fine on mine with the stock cams and my friend runs the same one on stock cams. I don't notice much at all, but some ppl say that do. I am going to speed density here soon. But, I think you would be fine but thats your choice.
but did you get tuned while you had that bov on? or you put it on after the tune like im doing
No prob man, a lot of ppl hate on anything but a diverter valve for our cars. But everyone has their own taste, personally i'm kinda over the loud bov so i'm looking to get rid of mine. But, to each their own.
about 95% of people dont like it on this site. i have it in stock location, recirculated and tuned, and have not noticed any negative effects in terms of idle or drivability however I have big cams and had them before the install of this BOV so I think they negate any ill effects it might have, at least in terms of idle (my car has never died). there is an install guide somewhere in the how to section that I used. good luck.
Diverter valve is your stock "bov" pretty much. Its what you are running now, i think you said a IX one which is leaking. All it does is divert the air back into the intake when you shift rather then vent to atmosphere. You can recirc a vta bov and get the same effect either way.
