10.0 is rich, which is what you should see as soon as you shift. Then it will lean back out.

I ran the Tial on my car with no problems. But I recommend using the stock IX DV recirculated until you reach boost levels that the DV cant handle. Then switch to a Forge or synapse DV recirculated if you care for good driveability.

get the synapse DV or BOV and call it a day. you can recirc those if you're staying MAF, or VTA if you're going SD.

compared to 26 psi for the stock 9

+1^. This guy preety much had the best answer for this particular BOV "topic". I personally used this HKS SSQ BOV on most of my turbo project and never had any problem with it and really happy with it.

It will never leak!!! Beacause the idea of a pull type valve. It works like a check valve. The boost pressure pushes the valve close, so the higher you boost the harder it closes the valve. Unlike the traditional bov, it tends to leak on higher boost, this is why some of them has a heavier spring options and even an adjustable screw on top to prevent it from leaking under high boost pressure.

I don't know why some evo members hates this BOV but I doubt its because of a leaking problem!!!

And yes drivability is smooth on both SD and Maf set up on my end. So good luck

I've been using my HKS SSQV for over a year and I VTA without any problems. Never stalled (because of the BOV, that is. Just user error ha ha) or experienced any idle issues. Just my 2 pennies worth.

I run one VTA no problem but I'm on Autronic standalone. Maf sensor car recirculate it. Want to hear it just run open element intake.

+1 on lots of haters of the HKS valves, but have never seen one case of someone having a problem other then occasional idle issues. Had people tell me they leak boost etc, I'll find out when I retune for 110 and push 38psi through it. I don't for see anything but good results in the future. The HKS piece is my 4th bov including stock 8 valve. Stock leaks at factory boost levels, turbo xs valve fluttered at 1bar, my mechanic made up a test rig using a compressor and figured that one out. Greddy type s would surge at less then 10psi once it was tight enough to hold boost. The HKS piece has been flawless for me so far.
