Well most bov are vent to atmosphere. If you recirc a vta bov it will function the same as your diverter valve which you have now. But, the diverter valve will start leaking and won't hold as much boost. You can crush the IX diverter valve and make it hold more boost or can get a forge one. But def won't hold as much as a tial. I'm not sure what the HKS was rated for.

I'm the friend that MR. Burton69 is talking about. I switched to hks from stock. No tune or anything. I never have had any stalling issues what so ever. The car will maybe bog down a little once in awhile if i get on my car pretty good and then take it out of gear and brake. Other then that I don't have any divability issues. Like the others said if you recirc it or go to speed density like I'm going to you'll be perfectly fine. You could run VTA for the time being no problem if you wanted. Just depends how your car handles VTA if you will have any drivability issues. Like I said I don't really have any but some people report they do. I've been running mine VTA for something like 2 years now.

I'm using it vta with maf and it works fine. Not saying it doesn't get rich while shifting but I've noticed no meh side.effects of it.

That being said I've used this up to 35psi on a 60lb/min turbo and it didn't leak at all or have any surging.

You can avoid it bogging if you give it just a tiny bit of gas

He said its not holding the boost he's throwing at it. The HKS is capable of holding more then the stock 9 one.

"The HKS Super Sequential Blowoff Valve (SSQV) is a dual stage pull type relief valve. Unlike other blow off valves that are push type, the SSQV will not leak under high boost conditions nor under vacuum at idle. Being of a pull type valve structure, the SSQV can not physically leak under any level of boost because boost pressure also keeps the valve closed against its seat."

compared to 26 psi for the stock 9
