I notice when I turn my key to the ON position there is a sound that comes from inside the dash that sounds like a little motor moving. I think it has something to do with the heat/ac because it will also do it when I move the knobs. Anyone know what this is?

Thanks for all of the helpful feedback, lol. I opened my glovebox and could see that the little flapper door for the hvac is opening and closing when I turn the car on. It's the little door that opens and closes when you want the heater/ac to pull fresh air in or use the air in the cabin. I don't know if it is supposed to cycle open and close everytime you turn the car on or if my car has a glitch in the matrix. Could someone look on their car and see if it does the same thing? Thanks.

 

My car seems to do this too. I usually notice it after I pull into my driveway and turn my car off but leave the key in the accessory position. For me it sounds similar to when the headlights raise or lower.

 

Yeah, I hear it also. Never really looked for where it comes from though.

So that's what the noise is lol. Happens in my car too. It's kind of annoying.
