Back in early 2008 , I was 17 going on 18 and all I grew up around was big v8's and supras, my uncle owned a brand new viper and i thought that was the best of the best back then. Two weeks before i brought my evo I almost brought an srt8 charger but didn't buy it because it didn't come manual then i was going to buy a saleen mustang but test drove it in the rain and and realized this is not the best everyday car. Finally i talked into a BMW dealership alone and said i want to buy a 335 coupe 2008. they looked at me and how old I was and laughed at me and wouldn't let me drive the car even when i brought my father down. I was furious they didnt think i was serious about buying the car but after driving my friends i wanted the feel of a turbo car and the handling was much better then the charger and the mustang lol.

So my good friend tells me if you like turbo cars get a sti, and when i seen it i was like a subaru for $30,000 are you serious! Then i read about it and i was like let me just drive it. I was amazed by the car performance and i knew i had to get one. A week later i purchased a 2006 sti with a atp 30r kit and i knew very little about turbo cars but everytime i would hit boost white smoke came out the hood. after going back to the dealer I realized the car came with a blown turbo -_- i was able to get a full refund because they didnt want to fix the car. i didnt want to give the car back but i also didnt want a 2000$ bill on a new car so my shopping started again.

I went out going to look at more cars g37, 350z, and finally my friends says get an evo i didnt even know what a evo was he says it Mitsubishi version of a sti. I said Mitsubishi the only thing i own from them is this old t.v. but i looked into it the infinity dealer i was at actually had one for sale off a trade in. it was 2006 EVO 9 se , but someone had a down payment on it. after two weeks of looking i could not find any evos and ones i did find were high mileage or not MRs. I was finally able to drive one and i fell in love, a raw 400whp 2006 MR with bolt ons and a meth kit the best driving car I had ever drove at that point. it had anything i wanted speed traction and great handling and a sound that i just loved< but then that got sold every time i found an evo i liked it got sold. Days later i get a call from the infinity dealer like the deal didnt go through so over the phone i made a down payment . i finally got the car i wanted

When i test drove the car and when when i was driving home the car made a strange winding noise but very light , i was told it was the turbo. Every time i got in the car i got love i did a Ti greddy exhaust meth kit qtp cut out aem intake and i loved the car. but the winning sound got louder and louder until one day i could not take it. I took it back to infinity 4x and they told me it was the turbo every time. finally i took it to mitsu and they said your t case is shot .

Infinity said it was my problem and then said it was because i modded the car. I was able to find the ex owner of the cars registration in the owners manual went to his house and he said they knew the t case was damaged and was the reason they only gave mine 12,000$ for a 2006 se with 18,000k on it which they sold to me for 25k. So after almost suing them they finally took the car back and gave me my money back they said either i give them the car back or fix it myself.

My hunt started again but i wanted a evo so bad but my father would not coe sign another used car and at the time i did not like evo x but i bit the bullet and i am know the proud owner of a 2008 evo x which i now love.

 

you have some bad luck man...but glad to hear that you got the X, hopefully you can hang on to this car for a while

 

yeah i see no reason to sell this car only thing i hate is the paint quality
