Evo X Question!!
Evo X Question!!
Ok I posted a couple days ago, the Evo x Mr color question. Now here is another question. Based on saving gas, and doing better gas mileage how would you mod up the Evo x to do better gas mileage? I know an intake helps, but what else?? And if you know, how much more you save, please do tell me!
And what's the best mpg you have gotten on your Evo X? I'm just curious because i want to know what to expect when I get this car, i know the specs of the car, but i want to know what the drivers thoughts are.
Thanks, enjoy the newbie questions!!

i save on gas by taking my beater jetta to work that gets 35mpg with 87 compaired to 18mpg(because i cant stay outta boost) with 93. i save an average of 30$ a week in gas just by using the beater for my DD.
/e best way to save gas is to get a beater for driving to work

Honestly, best thing to help with gas mileage is to get a tune.
From what I've seen with my Evo X and from others on here, the average is anywhere between 15-20mpg for average, every day driving. It can easily be 10mpg or less if you are out having fun for a day.

Yea, there really isnt a great way to get good gas mileage in the evo. If you were to mod lightly and use an access port for your emanagement, you can flash to econ mode. my friend does this with his stg2 and gets around 26-27mpg highway.
I think thats about as good as it gets.
