Somebody said my Evo looked like a rocket ship.....the name stuck and that's what I got for vanity plates

The other day at my friends' house the neighbours' kid said to me:"You've got a nice racing car".He must have been 4 years old only.I smiled and said thanks.

 

I was pumping gas the other day and some guy that was pumping next to me and asked "is that a Subaru Evo?"

me: (laughed) no its a mitsubishi evolution

 

leaving a hardware store and a guy with a pickup spots me and says absolutely deadpan
" $1000.00 dollars on a race"

 

You should have taken the bet and won $1000.00.

 

I thought about it, but the guy looked a bit deranged

I like story's like this! lol. Wish I could have saw an Evo when I was younger.

 

Some good ones I've gotten.

"Is that thing FWD?
No, it's AWD.
RWD?
No. AWD.

They don't make cars AWD.
Oh. Ok."

"Why do you have that big wing on the back?"

"Whats with all those little spikes on the roof?"

"You still have that wing on the back?
Yes.
Does it even do anything?"


Some positive ones were,

Little kid crossing the street, to his other friend - "Hey man! lookit that race car!"

Old guy (mid 60's) pulls up next to me in a f-150 - "I really love those cars, looks great in that color too!" Honestly, that one shocked me.

Older coworker that drives a pruis - "I was standing next to your car today, checking out that spoiler, thing looks really mean!" This guy is cool, goes on to talk to me about his old nova he built up.

There's lots of others, can't remember now tho.....
