It's funny how some small kids know what it is but adults don't.

 

A friend of mine got in my evo today and asked me to boost it. Its tuned to 20 psi, at full boost his head snaps back and hits his seat. He turns to me and goes, "you can do that in any standard car"

 

Other week someone ask me if my Evo was an Evo XII

 

friends Dad was driving by and asked my friend something in polish " is the wing so you can take off and fly"

 

"does this car has turbo?"

 

So in traffic today on my way home.. basically stop and go 2nd gear.. a gap opened up so i hit the gas closed it and let off the gas bam pop... i was like cool
(just got my exhaust and tune a couple weeks ago) then all of a sudden this black bmw pulls up beside me gesturing to me that i should roll down my window.. so i did.. and the guy is yelling "YOUR CAR IS ON FIRE" i was like O.O WHATT? then he yelled again "YOUR CAR SPIT FIRE OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE" ... i was like what... huh? then i realized what was up.. and said "SICK!!!" he then told me to get my car checked out something must be wrong with it.

AHAHAH i went straight home and messaged my tuner Vex performance and told him all about it.. lol he laughed and said nothing is wrong with your car! Evo's are sick!

guys like that have cars like the 1987 Buick GNX hypped up on a massive turbo and nos/meth. pushing 800+rwhp 99% of the time they're sleepers just waiting to pounce. there's a couple in Calgary that are SICK. one of my old co-workers at assured plumbing has one. Fully built motor and trans, massive turbo and on the juice. it seriously can't be street legal. good thing evo's can corner! because they can't!

Reading through some of these is just downright hilarious! I was asked at work why I would trade in my 08 Eclipse GT for a lancer.... I just looked at them... rolled my eyes backward..blinked a few times... and walked away..

I took them for a ride the next day and they understood why...

yeah I don't think your car should be back-firing...

 

I don't know of too many catless cars that when go full throttle and lift off that they don't make a couple pop's here and there. especialy on an evo.. any of the catless dyno video's ive seen make a pop of flame come out the back. also my car doesn't backfire all the time. that was the first time since it was tuned that ive heard it make the pop sound. also the gas mileage is incredible i was able to get an extra 75km on my last tank driving it daily.. basically i got one extra day out of my car. so it can't be running uber rich if i'm saving gas money.

wot it's like 11 and crusing along out of boost it's like 14-15 in the boost part throttle it slowly goes from 13 to 12 and full throttel/boost 11 again.
