Purchase Help..

I'm looking at a 96 Evo IV GSR for $8,800 with 124000 km on it. I was just trying to find out what problems I'm most likely to walk into. Is crankwalk a problem at this point? etc. I appreciate all help. Thank you. . .

Seriously? Get off the dsm thought process that was only in the 95s and it happened in the first 20k of the motors life and it was only on the autos.

If it has that many miles then first thing I would look for is compression. Compression test, leak down test, make sure its not leaking any fluids from anywhere, shaft play on the turbo, when you drive the car listen for any type of wine from the t case, ask for all the maintence records, what kinda oil it used, what kinda t case and tranny fluid used, watch for burning oil, obviously the car has been beatin on and all of this stuff is important. Hope this helps out some.
