Ok I have an 03 gsr my mods are full 3in turbo back exhaust, cone filter, mbc, areomotive stealth 340, pte 880 injectors, spoolin up COP, ams LICP, stock 9.8 turbo, and I self tune with tephra v7. So now to my decision, I am pullingmy head off and install arp head studs and head gasket, springs and retainers, kelfrord 272 cams, and posibly a meth kit. Since i live in ca i cat dcie if should upgrade to an evo ix turbo or something bigger, I wold like to make 450-500hp i know i have a lot of drive train upgrades ahead of me with that much power but i dont dd my car so thats ok. so my question is should i try a ix turbo or should i just go to a bigger turbo like the green or red or even a gt30r kit i drag my car and also road race it to at my local tracks. I think you would be better off with a green or red with your mods and what you want to do with the car

 

+1 I would say red or ef3 even a hTa green might be a little harder to reach 500 on pump but it will give that stick like spool I have an ef3 and once I get my toxic fab o2 dump and manifold I should be sitting around 450 give or take on pump 92 good luck man

 

We really like the way the FP Red and Ef3 perform.

We have maxed out a Red at 588whp on E85. So you can reach that power goal even on pump!
