Noob question

Laugh it off if you must lol, but how do you know if your fans are working properly?also to turn my car on i kinda have to push the key into the ignition while turning the key or else it wornt start. Bad starter?

Your car would overheat if the fans weren't working.

Not really sure about your key issue, it's definitely not the starter though. Maybe something is up with the ignition column..

What i mean is, is there a certain point they come on? Would I hear them come on? And as far as the key i guess ill just have to look into it

Yeah you can hear them come on. Turn on your AC and see if the fan starts.

Yeah during idle so you can physically see and hear the fan running.

That's a way to test your ACs fan. The other one comes on when the engine temps climb to high, and should turn back off when the temps drop back down to normal. You can also apply direct battery voltage to that fan to see if its good and turns on. Just keep everything clear of the fan blades including your fingers! I'm sure there's also another way that involves some type of program where you can command it on.

I turn my ad on and neither fan is running when I pop the hood

I would say have the car checked out then. You don't want to have to do a head gasket or worse because you fan failed.

When you turn the AC, you should visually be able to see the fans move under the hood?
